I joined the British Council in 2022 from the position of Head of Communications at British Embassy in Budapest, where I have worked for almost 20 years. I studied international communication and international business and management in Hungary, the Netherlands and France. 

I aim to bring together all areas of the British Council under an integrated country offer for our customers and partners.

Regional Head Financial Risk and Compliance

I joined the British Council in 1990 after completing my Applied Science education in the USA and working for some years in the field of data processing, finance, and office management in Hungary. I was involved in drafting the agreement on the operation of cultural centres between Hungary and the UK, which is still valid today. My current role covers Risk and Compliance with some specific finance, audit and treasury tasks in the European Union Region of British Council.

I graduated as an English major from ELTE University in 2004. The same year, I joined the Exams team at British Council Hungary, where I was placed in charge of IELTS, University, and Professional exams. In 2019, I became the manager of the Exams Department and set as my main goal to assist learners of English of all ages in achieving their educational goals in Hungary and abroad by organising for them a variety of language examinations and issuing internationally recognised certificates.

Marketing Manager

I joined the British Council in 2020 as the Marketing Coordinator in Hungary. Currently, I am the Marketing Manager for the cluster which includes Poland, Greece, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. I work with the European marketing community as well as local teams to manage the execution of the marketing and communications strategy. I have experience in marketing and fundraising in both Canada and England and I enjoy working in a diverse environment with an international team.

I am responsible for the Education & Society programme and the Arts amplification activities in Hungary.  I studied Culture Management and Sociology. It motivates me to contribute to a more open and inclusive society by creating inspiring cultural relations and working on educational opportunities for all.

Senior Teacher

I have been teaching English for 20 years, working in the UK, Spain, Malaysia and Hungary. During my tenure, I have worked as Director of Studies and Course Director for UK-based summer camps, Senior Teacher for International House and mentored Primary school teachers in Malaysia. I am currently the Senior Teacher for the British Council in Budapest and also a Cambridge examiner for young learners and adults.
