Programme (subject to change)

09.00–09.20 | Introductions

09.20–10.00 | Interactive Talk: Finding Their Drive – Authentic Learning for AI-Savvy Students

Most language learners have already become skilled at using GenAI. But how does it affect their motivation and expectations about their own education? In this interactive talk, we’ll take a deeper look at the AI-savvy student’s commitment to learning and explore strategies to keep them engaged, making digital shortcuts a less appealing option.

10.00–11.15 | Interactive Session 1: Building Critical AI Skills Through Real-World Projects

In this workshop, we’re going to experience and explore structured activities that build students’ AI literacy along with other essential subskills, such as efficient online searching, credibility and bias checks. Walk away with a collection of adaptable project ideas and clear steps for guiding students to use AI responsibly and effectively as they build knowledge and share their discoveries.

11.15–11.45 | Coffee Break

11.45–13.00 | Interactive Session 2: Teaching Writing Creatively with AI

This workshop explores how AI can be used to design more creative, engaging writing lessons in both general English and exam preparation contexts, while also helping teachers save time on activity preparation. Participants will discover practical, adaptable activities that can be easily tailored to different levels and age groups, supporting both creativity and effective writing skills development.

13.00–13.30 | Closing, networking lunch
