The quality of British education has an international reputation and is acknowledged by employers and educational institutions world-wide.
British Council administers entrance examinations, distance learning examinations and professional examinations for many UK universities, institutes of further education and professional bodies. We arrange invigilation for candidates who are not able to travel to the UK to take these exams.
Sit your exam on our premises
If you are a student or a professional registered with an English-language school, university or organisation (in the UK, USA, Australia etc.), we can administer your exam on our premises in Budapest. A local administration fee is charged for this service.
We are responsible for ensuring that your exam is administered correctly:
- We receive the exam papers and store them securely.
- We provide an exam room with an invigilator.
- We make sure that all regulations set by the examination boards of the educational institutions or professional bodies are followed and all requirements are met.
- After the exam, we send the papers back by international courier.
Please note that we cannot accommodate exams involving Listening or Speaking sections.
It is your responsibility to contact the examination board for their confirmation and to ensure that the regulations and exam papers arrive at the British Council in advance of the exam date.
Please contact us (as an individual candidate or an examination board) at least one month in advance so we can verify if we will be able to accommodate your exam on the required date. We will send you further information regarding the fees and the procedure to follow.
