Cancelling your IELTS test
If you cancel your IELTS test up to five weeks before the test date, you will receive a full refund. If you want to cancel the test after this deadline, you are not entitled to any refund.
Please note that refunds can take four to six weeks to process and we will transfer your exam fee back to the same card or bank account from where we received it.
(To cancel your test date, please download and complete our Request for Refund or Test Date Transfer Form and send it via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can find the documents below in the download section.)

The medical certificate must be written in Hungarian or English. If we have not received both required documents at our office in Budapest by the fifth working day after the test, you will be marked as absent and forfeit all claims.
Please note that we do not accept sick notes issued by family members.
Candidates are not entitled to a refund if:

Requesting a test day transfer
If you need to change the date of your test from the date you originally booked, you can request a test day transfer up to five weeks before the test date, free of charge.
It is not possible to postpone your IELTS test less than five weeks before the test day. If you do not take the test on the set date, the full test fee will be retained and you would have to make a new registration for a later date, including a new payment.
To change your test date, fill in the IELTS Request for Refund or Test Date Transfer Form and e-mail it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that the new date must then be within three months of the original date.
